Rubenstein Business Law Wins Injunctive Relief for Computer Consulting Client
The growing business law firm of was recently granted injunctive relief on behalf of its computer consulting company client against a former employee.
In an action for injunctive relief and to recover damages, managing partner David Rubenstein successfully obtained an injunction arising out of the violation of an employment restrictive covenant and misappropriation of trade secrets. The former employee, represented by Mandelbaum Salzburg, denied any wrongdoing.
In response, Rubenstein obtained a computer forensic expert whose report conclusively established that the former employee had stolen confidential information and deleted company information.
The former employee intended to use this information for his new employer in order to gain a competitive advantage.
The New Jersey Superior Court upheld the company’s non-compete and confidentiality agreements against the former employee and barred the former employee from violating his agreements.
